This joint philatelic issue, which reflects the excellence of relations uniting the two countries, was announced during a virtual ceremony in the presence of the respective General Directors of Barid Al-Maghrib, Mr. Amin Benjelloun Touimi and the Dominican Postal Institute, Mr. Adán Peguero as well as the Ambassador of His Majesty the King to the Dominican Republic, H.E.  Zakaria El Goumiri.

Mr. El Goumiri and Mr. Peguero proceeded on this occasion to the signing and exchange of stamps issued by the two postal institutions, which consist of 500 copies each.

For Mr. El Goumiri, “this joint philatelic issue celebrates the alliance, the collaboration and the determination of the two countries to build a close and lasting partnership”. He also considered that this initiative is a "memorable testimony of the importance attributed by the Kingdom of Morocco to the relations with the Dominican Republic" and hopes it will “promote consolidation between the two peoples through a symbolic invitation to discover the historical and cultural heritage of the two countries.”
