MFA Bourita holds talks with his Irish counterpart
During this exchange, the two ministers applauded the excellent relations between the two countries and stressed the importance of strengthening them further, through political consultations.
The two counterparts celebrated the recently held Morocco Economic Week in Ireland which was aimed at promoting bilateral economic partnerships and exploring opportunities in new regions, especially in Africa.
Mr. Bourita and Mr. Coveney congratulated each other on the future opening of the Irish Embassy in Rabat and the designation of an Irish ambassador to the Kingdom.
Mr. Coveney ensured Ireland’s continued support of Morocco’s strategic partnership with the European Union and hailed Morocco’s serious and credible efforts towards effecting stability and fostering development in the region.
The two ministers agreed to continuing their exchanges and political consultations regarding regional and international issues of mutual interest such as Libya and the Sahel.
They reaffirmed their interest in advancing their consultations within multilateral and international forums, particularly within the United Nations.
