Facing the Covid-19 pandemic, the Moroccan community in Italy show an exemplary solidarity (Ambassador Youssef Bella)
Mr. Bella said, in this context, that Morocco deplores a total of 37 deaths due to Covid-19, recalling that the Moroccans established in Italy are nearly 700,000.
These people who died "were buried in full observance of all the rules of the Islamic religion," said Mr. Youssef Bella. There are currently 137 Moroccans stranded in this country, who are not residents, after the decision to close the Kingdom’s borders. They are, he said, "people making family visits", adding that "they are currently staying with their relatives". Youssef Bella also reported on the ongoing efforts of local associations of Moroccan Expatriates in Italy, as well as the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Expatriates to help the members of the Moroccan community established abroad in this period of health crisis.
