Biography of Madam Nezha El Ouafi

Biography of Mrs. Nezha El Ouafi; Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates; in Charge of Moroccan Expatriates.

Education
Madam El Ouafi obtained a bilingual, scientific baccalaureate in 1990. She holds a bachelor's degree in Arabic Literature at the University of Arabic language and literature in Marrakech in 1996 and a specialized Master’s degree in Sociology from the New Sorbonne University in 2002. In 20017, she earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Mohammed V.
Career
Madam El Ouafi was appointed as a state secretary in charge of sustainable development alongside other functions: mainly assistant professor at the department of social sciences (2005 - 2007) at the Piémont oriental University at Alessandria, Italy. She was as well the project manager of the European project "Droits en Mouvement, des immigrés en Italie" in Turin, Italy and head of the research project "la Moudawana, le nouveau code de la famille marocaine" at the Paralleli Euro-méditerranéen institute and the Alma Terra Association in Turin.
Member of the parliamentary assembly of the European counsel (2011-2016), Madam El Ouafi is president of the International Forum of Moroccan Competencies Abroad.
Madam El Ouafi is married and a mother of two.
