In a statement to the press following her talks with MFA Bourita, Ms. Olga Sánchez Cordero said that Morocco is her country's gateway to the African continent, stressing that Mexico gives great importance to its cooperation with the Kingdom.

Ms. Cordero, who was accompanied by the Mexican Senate's Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Mr. Héctor Vasconcelos, also indicated that her talks with MFA Bourita were an opportunity to discuss the bilateral agenda, noting that the two countries play a major role in the concert of nations.

For his part, Mr. Vasconcelos underscored that the talks with MFA Bourita were an opportunity to discuss a wide range of bilateral and international issues. "We welcome the very thorough dialogue we have just had with Mr. Bourita."
