His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to Carlos Vila Nova following his election as president of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe.

In this message, the Sovereign expresses to Vila Nova His warm congratulations and wishes of success.

"I should like you to know how much I value the fraternal relations based on mutual esteem and fruitful cooperation between our countries," HM the King says.

"I very much look forward to working with you to strengthen our ties and expand them to all sectors," the Sovereign adds.
