The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr. Salaheddine Mezouar, held talks, on Thursday 05 May 2016 in Rabat, with the Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Yoji Muto, on a working visit to Morocco.
During this meeting, the two officials welcomed the quality of the exceptional relations bringing together Morocco and Japan, built on credibility and mutual cooperation.
The two officials also discussed the means apt to promote bilateral relations and reviewed issues of common interest, notably, the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP22), which will be held in Marrakesh from the 7th to the 18th of November 2016.
In this regard, the Japanese State Minister congratulated Morocco for hosting this great vent, while expressing the will of his country to contribute to its success.
Furthermore, Mr. Muto indicated that the two countries have a lot of values in common, which encourages them to further reinforce their bilateral relations, while noting that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Japan.
