The official visit of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in Dakar, on the 6th, 7th and 8th of November 2016, is a new opportunity to strengthen the excellence of relations bringing together the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Senegal.
In this context, and in accordance with the High Guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Excellency President Macky Sall to promote sectoral strategic partnerships between Moroccan and Senegalese operators, it was agreed to continue and accelerate discussions for a partnership between the Royal Air Maroc and Air Senegal SA, for the benefit of both companies.
This collaboration should be a new manifestation of South-South cooperation pioneering model between Morocco and Senegal. It should take into account mutual interests, capitalizing on and drawing lessons from previous experiences.
In this context, it was agreed to mobilize the two companies to cooperate in order to establish a mutually beneficial partnership in various operational and technical areas, including through the implementation of trade agreements.
This new collaboration would eventually accompany the actual launching of Air Senegal SA, one of the pillars of the flagship project of the Plan Senegal Emergent "sub regional air hub", which aims to make Senegal an air and services’ hub in the sub region.
