The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr. Salaheddine Mezouar, received Friday, June 20, 2014, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Chad, Mr. Mahamat Abdelrassoul, who presented him the copies of his credentials as Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chad to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.
On this occasion, the Minister congratulated Mr. Mahamat Abdelrassoul on his appointment, wishing that his mission is successful.
Mr. Mezouar, also indicated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation remains at his disposal in all actions aimed at strengthening bilateral relations with Chad
Graduated from the Institute for the Study of International Relations in Paris, Mr. Mahamat Abdelrassoul is a career diplomat. He has held the title of Ambassador several times, in Iraq (1993-1996), Algeria (1996), Germany (2002-2005) and Côte d'Ivoire (2007-2009).
He has also held several senior positions, including the position of Director General of Protocol of the State to the Chadian Presidency.
Mr. Mahamat Abdelrassoul is the first resident Ambassador of the Republic of Chad in Morocco as the Chad just opened its Embassy in Rabat May 28, 2014.
