The Parliamentary Group, chaired by Ms. Carmen Bautista Pelàez, declared «to follow with great interest the evolution of the situation in the area of El Guergarat which is now open to international transit».

Concerned about compliance with the international law, the Group welcomed the Moroccan Government’s action to put an end to this situation of tension and restore stability in the region, in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

The deputies of this Group also expressed “their moral support to the people of Morocco and to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for taking under his responsibility the stability of this region”.

Founded in October 2019, the Mexico-Morocco Parliamentary Friendship Group works to bring the two countries closer, particularly through the strengthening of parliamentary cooperation.
